Supervision Services
Transform, grow, and invigorate your practice.
I offer clinical supervision for Master’s-level clinicians who wish to acquire the necessary hours for Vermont state licensure, and also for trained therapists seeking consultation, peer support, and additional professional development.
The focus of supervision can vary for each supervisee’s needs, ranging from building fundamental psychotherapy skills and clinical competence, to addressing ethical considerations, transference concerns, examining oneself in the role of counselor, and exploring complex cases. During this process I provide guidance and support as clinicians are honing and enhancing their unique therapeutic style, helping them to bring their passion and authenticity to the field.
Throughout our collaborative work together, you will be stretched to think outside the box, challenge your first impressions, and grow your clinical skills, all while being encouraged to find confidence in your role. I assist with various ways of conceptualizing a client, helping you find the approaches that fit for you.
I also assist with the business aspect of conducting a private practice, teaching supervisees how to bill and work with insurances, complete necessary forms and paperwork, and market themselves.
Supervision can also be offered in group format to further enhance skills, engage in topics of interest, and learn from a variety of cases and viewpoints.

“I am so grateful I found Caroline as a supervisor. Caroline was someone I felt comfortable with and trusted with all my questions, concerns, fears, and hopes as I was training for licensure as a therapist. She put me at ease and made it safe to bring up any topic, including questions I felt I should have already known the answer to and might have otherwise been embarrassed to ask. At the same time, she saw my strengths and helped me bring my full (and best) self into my work with clients, so that I was learning to show up authentically and offer my gifts. She guided me towards learning and practicing new skills I needed as well, including somatic work and learning to delve into the discomfort of difficult topics with clients. Working with Caroline was truly a godsend on my journey to becoming a therapist!”
-Katherine Jordan, LCMHC
